Careers in Healthcare, LLC (at times herein, “CareersinHealthcare.com,” “we” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain how CareersinHealthcare.com collects, uses and shares information from you when you use the CareersInHealthCare.com websites (collectively, the “Website”) and to help you make an informed decision as to whether to use or continue using the Website.

  1. What kinds of information do you collect from me?

The amount and type of information we gather depends upon your use of the website and, in some cases, what type of information you choose to disclose. We may collect the following information from you:

(a) Survey Information. We collect information from you when you voluntarily complete a CareersinHealthcare.com survey, order form, or a registration page either online or offline, or by means of online or offline surveys, order forms, or registration pages operated by third parties (collectively, a “Survey”). Completing the Surveys is completely voluntary, and you are under no obligation to provide Survey Information to us or a Third Party, but you may be offered or receive incentives from us in exchange for providing Survey Information.

(b) Information about Your Device and Internet Connection. Whey you use the Website, we automatically gather information made available by your web browser (such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome), Internet service provider (such as Comcast or Time Warner), and device (such as your computer, phone, or tablet), depending on your settings for each. For example, we may collect your IP address, information about the operating system or type of device you use, and the location of your device.

(c) Information Provided by Third Parties. CareersinHealthcare.com may obtain your information if you have provided it to a Third Party and we subsequently purchase, license, or otherwise acquire the information from the Third Party. Such purchased information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, street address, zip code, telephone numbers (including cell phone numbers and carriers), SMS/text messaging details (e.g. date, time and content of the SMS/text message), age, highest level of education, military status, personal and online interests, and such other information as you may have provided to the Third Party (together, “Third Party List Information”). When acquiring Third Party List Information, we seek assurances from the Third Party that it has a right to transfer the Third Party List Information to us and that it has a right to provide offers from advertisers to the individuals whose personal information is included on the Seller’s list.

(d) Payment Information. We may in certain cases collect credit card numbers and related information, such as the expiration date of the card (“Credit Card Information”) when you complete certain surveys or place an order from CareersinHealthcare.com. When the Credit Card Information is submitted to us, such information is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software. We will only use the Credit Card Information for purposes of processing and completing the purchase/survey transaction (if applicable), and the Credit Card Information will be disclosed to necessary Third Parties (such as our merchant processing vendors) only as necessary to complete the purchase transaction.

From time to time, we may obtain other information from you, such as when you make a claim for a prize or seeking to redeem an incentive offered by CareersinHealthcare.com or by a Third Party, when you request assistance through from our customer service department, and when you voluntarily subscribe to a CareersinHealthcare.com service or newsletter. You will always be asked to provide such other information voluntarily, and we will not collect it without your permission.

  1. How do you use Cookies and Web Beacons?

We currently use cookie and web beacon technology to associate certain Internet-related information about you with information we already have in our database. Additionally, we may use other new and evolving sources of information in the future.

(a) Cookies. A cookie is a small amount of data stored on the hard drive of your computer that allows us to identify you as a unique user of the Website. We use Cookies to verify your account and make it so you do not have to reenter your login information each time you use the Website. (b) Web Beacons. A web beacon is programming code that can be used to, among other things, transfer an individual’s unique user identification (often in the form of a Cookie) to a database and associate the individual with previously acquired information about an individual in a database. This allows us to track certain websites you visit online. Web beacons are used to determine products or services you may be interested in, and to track online behavioral habits for marketing purposes. In addition to using web beacons on web pages, we use web beacon in email messages sent to individuals listed in our database.

  1. How do you use my information?

We are in the marketing business and, as such, may use your Information to provide promotional offers to you by means of email advertising, telephone marketing, direct mail marketing, online banner advertising, and package stuffers, among other possible uses.

(a) Email Advertising. We use your information to provide promotional offers by email to you, and by using the Website and agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you agree to receive such email messages from us until you unsubscribe from them.

(b) Direct Mail and Telemarketing. We may use your information to send you advertising using direct mail marketing or telemarketing using telephones and cell phones.

  1. How and where do you store my information?

We use Third Party vendors Survey Gizmo, Cake, and Mailchimp to store your information. These Third Party vendors employ security measures (such as software and applications to block DDoS attacks, bots, malicious traffic, and internal firewalls) in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.

If you are using the Website outside of the United States, you understand that your information will be collected and stored by us in the United States. By using the Website, you consent to the transfer of information to and/or storage of information outside of your country and into the United States.

  1. How do you share my information?

(a) Sale or Transfer to Third Parties. CareersinHealthcare.com is in the business of compiling and selling consumer information for marketing purposes. WE MAY SELL OR TRANSFER INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY LEGALLY PERMISSIBLE PURPOSE IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION, INCLUDING AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.

(b) Order Fulfillment. We may transfer your information to Third Parties when necessary to provide a product or service that you order from such Third Party while using the Website or when responding to offers provided by us.

(c) Legal Process. We may disclose your information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal processes.

(d) Summary Data. We may sell or transfer non-personal information, such as summary or aggregated anonymous information about all persons or sub-groups of persons.

(e) Affiliated Companies. You may access all information we’ve collected about you for purposes of correcting, amending, or deleting such information. Access can be obtained by contacting [email protected]. CareersinHealthcare.com may also grant Third Party advertising clients and email services providers access to an individual’s email address to verify the origin of information collected.

  1. How do you protect the privacy of children?

We will never knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 13. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our database. Because we do not collect such information, we have no such information to use or to disclose to Third Parties. We have designed this policy in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  1. Do you respond to Do Not Track (DNT) Signals?

DNT is a feature offered by some browsers which, when enabled, sends a signal to websites to request that your browsing is not tracked. We do not currently respond to DNT requests.

  1. What about Third Party practices?

(a) Third Party Cookies and Web Beacons. Advertising agencies, advertising networks, and other companies (together, Third Parties) who place advertisements on the Website and on the Internet generally may use their own cookies, web beacons, and other technology to collect information about individuals. Except as expressly provided herein, we do not control Third Parties’ use of such technology and we have no responsibility for the use of such technology to gather information about individuals. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with the privacy practices of such Third Parties.

(b) Third Party Links. The Website and email messages sometimes contain hypertext links to the websites of Third Parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites. Linked websites may contain links to websites maintained by Third Parties. Such links are provided for your convenience and reference only. We do not operate or control in any respect any information, software, products or services available on such Third Party websites. The inclusion of a link to a website does not imply any endorsement of the services or the site, its contents, or its sponsoring organization.

  1. How do I unsubscribe from receiving email or SMS messages from you?

If you wish to discontinue receiving email messages from CareersinHealthcare.com, you have several options:

(a) Unsubscribe from one email list. To unsubscribe from a particular list, either (1) send an email to [email protected] or (2) follow the instructions in each promotional email message sent by CareersinHealthcare.com.

(b) Unsubscribe from all of CareersinHealthcare.com email lists. We reserve the right to add your information to multiple lists maintained by CareersinHealthcare.com. To globally unsubscribe from all of CareersinHealthcare.com lists, send an email to [email protected].

  1. How will I find out about changes to the Privacy Policy?

Each time you use the Website, the then-current version of this Privacy Policy will apply. Although most changes are likely to be minor, we reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy by posting such modification on this page; however, if changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice or email you. Unless we receive your express consent, any revised Privacy Policy will apply only to information collected after the effective date of such revised Privacy Policy, and not to information collected under any earlier version.
